General Overview

Since 1998, the folks behind The Old Store and The Shed have set up over 200 all-ages shows in Palmer, MA and are now organizing monthly shows at Diamond Junction Bowling Alley and the Palmer Historical & Cultural Center (PHCC). Diamond Junction is an amazing vintage candlepin alley and the people that own it are extremely supportive of our efforts. The space is quite cosy with low tin ceilings, a couple of pool tables, some arcade games, and 8 lanes to bowl in. The PHCC is an old church that has been recently renovated into a performance arts space. The large room is perfect for bigger 100+ crowds and the acoustics are top notch. If you are interested in playing, feel free get in contact with us. However, please be aware that we aren't booking shows as regularly as we had in the past.

We book a wide range of bands and generally plan our show dates around a touring band's schedule. Aside from a small percentage of money that goes to the venue, we divide all of the door money between the bands and take into account who has traveled the furthest. We may not be able to promise infinite riches, but what we can promise (and what is essentially the only reason to want to play in our area) is a nice, personable, unique show experience with an engaged audience... it is not a bar and it is not background music. Up the punks.

How It Works

Add bands, candlepin bowling, and rad friends. Mix thoroughly for about 4 hours. Feels good, tastes like magic.
